Fingerprinting * $10.00 fee per Card. Service available to residents and individuals employed in the City of Birmingham from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Accident / Incident Report Copies Copies are available at $ 5.00 per report. Please have important information such as complaint numbers, location of incident, and date when making inquiries about reports. Accident reports are available from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the police department clerical area. For telephone inquiries, dial 248.530.1873 Please note that a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request may be required to obtain copies of certain documents.
Permits For Applications For Purchase Of Firearms* Service available to residents only from 11:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. A valid Michigan driver's license with current address is required in order to obtain a permit to purchase firearms. Informational materials related to gun permit written examination are available for review prior to test.
*Applicants should arrive at the Police Department by 3:00 P.M. to complete the application process.
Applications For Concealed Weapons PermitsApplication packets are available from 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Completed packets are submitted to the Oakland County Clerk's office for processing.
